Back to Blogging!

Hi Everyone

It seems a number of people were suffering the same issues as myself regarding the blog and it looks like Google have fixed the issue now.  There was a conspiracy theory that Google had blocked the service from mobile phones as the Olympics started due to the terrorist threat....??!!  So my "Hotelling in Fribourg" post has only just updated several days later in case you're confused.

I'm having the loveliest morning at Mary's.  I sat outside in the warm sunshine eating breakfast on the terrace by the pool overlooking the mountains surrounding Geneva.  Bliss!  Then a half dead fly plopped into my cereal ruining the moment somewhat!  It really is the most peaceful, beautiful place here.

I heard about Lizzie Armistead's silver medal in the ladies cycling road race - awesome especially as she is from Otley, location of my cycle club.  Brilliant, brilliant news and I'm guessing the OCC had major celebrations yesterday!

Teresa, please no mention of emergency tent drying measures again!!!  Glad you had a good time in the Lakes despite the weather.

Tally ho for now everyone and looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Andi xx

  2. Oh, the honour: Mentioned twice in your blog!! It is true though the brain playing tricks when you cross a river or a channel and you need to swap languages. Missing talking german though. It has become extremely rusty! Picture of Fribourg from above is lovely. Developping new talents, Andi?: good at blogging and at photography! Tad jaleous when I read about breakfast at Mary's ... Flying on Wednesday:-) Today enjoying the Opympics. Good results for the British -and the French- in the pool too. Love. T

  3. Andi,
Your pictures and descriptions sound amazing! Lizzie Armistead is also a veggie so you and her are showing us what veggie girls can do! John and I had an amazing walk round the Lakes (met up with Teresa which was fab). We were b+b-ing and yha-ing so not as impressive as you and Teresa. We are off to see Jess Ennis at the Olympics this Sat. Hoping to see the Brownlees in the triathlon too. Lots of successful Yorkshire people - you, Lizzie and the Brownlees. It's all very inspiring. Keep up the dessert intake :-)

  4. Hey ho,
Its me again! Since I'm off again tomorrow (Dordogne apparently)I thought I'd do one more quick post. Well done for travelling across Switzerland under your own steam - these journies are the hardest but the most satisfying - good effort! And your pics continue to look beautiful....Hope that things continue to go well for you and I myself am hoping for some of your sunshine and some of your cycle legs so that I don't get too wasted on my training camp!!! Good work, be back in touch in a week :-)
    PS any hot-cyclist encounters yet????
    Teresa :-)
